Property Manager | Multifamily & Affordable Housing Operations
Berlin Murphy brings 15 years of progressive multifamily property management experience to National Real Estate Management Group, with expertise spanning property operations, multi-site management, affordable housing compliance, leasing, resident relations, team leadership, and maintenance coordination. Her experience across conventional and affordable communities, high-rise and mid-rise buildings, garden-style properties, senior housing, and emergency housing gives her a broad operational perspective across diverse residential assets.
Berlin has held progressively responsible roles throughout her career, including Property Manager, District Community Manager, Assistant Community Manager, and Compliance Specialist. As a District Community Manager, she oversaw onsite operations across two communities, including leasing, renewals, resident relations, marketing, and direct supervision of maintenance and leasing teams. Most recently, as a Compliance Specialist, she audited and maintained resident compliance files across 11 affordable housing properties, ensuring alignment with federal, state, county, and local requirements while training leasing teams on compliant documentation practices.
Her experience spans the full spectrum of multifamily operations, including leasing and renewals, resident relations, maintenance coordination, marketing, budgeting support, reporting, project planning, and team training. This combination of operational and compliance expertise enables Berlin to identify challenges proactively, maintain effective processes, and coordinate across onsite teams, residents, ownership, and community partners.
At NREMG, Berlin is directly engaged in the management and performance of the firm's residential assets. Her hands-on approach reflects NREMG's operator-led philosophy, with a focus on disciplined execution, regulatory compliance, responsive property operations, and long-term asset stewardship. Her affordable housing background includes experience with CHFA, HUD, HOME, and Tax Credit requirements, bringing valuable depth to NREMG's approach to managing complex residential assets.
Originally from Colorado, Berlin has called Washington home for the past five years. Outside of work, she enjoys board games, Dungeons & Dragons, reading, and camping.
